D. E. T.

What's the DET?  =  Direction Explanation Technique.  I was trained in this format for fitness by Martin Henry.
He is a world renowned  personal trainer  to the stars  and  international group fitness practitioner.  Fitness in Los Angeles is awesome, however I see and hear a lot of NOTHING that will change a person's body.  From watching classes, personal trainers, people who self train and the videos,  I am shocked how people treat their body.
I am going to give you the most important information you need to have in your fitness program.
D.E.T. Direction Explanation Technique should be applied to every type of fitness that you do, every move you make demands DET principles.  You must make that mind body connection in order to understand the process involved in
fitness and health.  DET will get you the results you want.
Remember if you hear the word "IT" move it! life it !squeeze it!!??? What part of your body is named IT?!!! If your trainer
or fitness instructor uses the IT word, it is awake call for you !!!
Only train or take classes from certified trainers/certified instructors who practice DET format and NEVER use the word
"IT" as a part of your body.    Respect your body & mind.

FITNESS FOOTWEAR

Fitness Footwear is the most important part of your workout wear.  Fitness activities vary, so therefore
you may need to buy a pair of shoes for each sport. (Hiking, Running, Walking, Tennis, Dance ect.)
Yes, each shoe style is designed for it's own sport purpose.  Cross training shoes are an excellent choice if have limited funds.  However, you should only wear your workout shoes for your workout.  If you choose to wear your workout shoes all the time, you will need to replace them in 3 to 6 months.  The outside of the shoes my look okay, BUT it's the internal structure of the shoe that you can not see the Breaks Down, from sweat and the G Force impact.  When the shoes begin to break down your workout and your body can be compromised.  Shoes are the foundation to protecting your skeletal structure during a workout.  So take a good look at the inside and outside of your current workout shoes, it might be time to replace.  You should consider wearing  sport socks to prolong the life of your shoes.  Have a great workout !!! :-)

Clutter

Clutter!! is clutter holding you back?  is clutter keeping you in that stuck place? Clutter in your home out of control? You must spend 1 hour a day to clear clutter and start putting your life in order.  When we were children we had a toy box to keep our stuff, now we have a house, closets over stuffed, cabinets filled to capacity, garages filled to the maximum and now we are using our cars or suvs to keep stuff!!!! How big a TOY box do you need as an adult? It really is a great feeling to let go of things you no longer need.  Yes it is time to let go of the past, clear clutter and let the new positive energy into your home , your life and your
future. :-)

Sugar

Label reading is a very important part of your fitness and health routine.
Soda contains 44 grams of Sugar  that is 10 teaspoons of Sugar !!!
4.2 grams = 1 teaspoon.
The average person in the United States, yearly consumes their body weight in Sugar.
You are what you eat. :-)

FYI Fitness Health Know Your Numbers

You need to know your numbers!! A tape measure should be your best friend, weekly you should take a measurement around your waist, use the navel as a point of reference each time you measure.
Females should measure under 37 inches.  Females that measures  37"and above need to start a fitness program and make positive changes in your food intake.
Males should measure under 40 inches.  Males that measures 40" and above need to start a fitness   program and make positive changes in your food intake.
Excess  belly fat is called Omentum.
